I’ve been playing around with writing structure in my poetry. I’m not usually one for rhyming, but it sort of just happened. Can you see the patterns? There are a couple of them!
You told her that you could handle rain,
But you know nothing of the pain,
You have never loved a hurricane,
But this kind of thing isn’t hard to sustain,
You just have to work a little harder to obtain,
But once you learn how to embrace the rain,
You will love that hurricane,
And it will be the greatest gift you could ever obtain,
You will never, after all, forget a hurricane.
